Interesting similar circumstances... and like I said, GGG can never do no wrong. I’m wondering if people just find excuses to discredit Canelo without really thinking or knowing what they’re on about...

Fielding got sparked in Round 1 by Callum Smith before fighting Canelo. Fielding held a secondary trinket for Canelo...

Nunez got sparked in Round 1 by Nilsson Tapia before fighting GGG. Nunez and GGG were fighting for the vacant Interim WBA... then they wanted to match up the guy (Tapia) who sparked Nunez against GGG.

wait, so... TonyGe insists that you must give him names, to prove Canelo's credentials at 168... but then he insists that Golovkin is great, for knocking out no-hopers at 160...?

It's funny how these dudes talk a big game but wont even answer simple questions.

              I already answered. Lol

The context of the conversation is Prime GGG vs Prime Canelo. TonyGE said Prime GGG is 2012-2015. I said Canelo is in his prime now. He’ll be 30 soon. Other posters said Canelo will dip off Prime at 33, perhaps similar like Crawford or Loma. Doesn’t even mean any of these fighters will do bad after 33 either. The most experienced boxers know what to do in the ring, yes?

So Canelo has fought at 168-175 from 28-29 years of age. That’s not starting as Prime? A Prime Canelo beats a Prime GGG, especially if you want to bring GGG from 2012-2015.

For TonyGE Bringing up Rocky Fielding means what vs 2012-2015? Is he saying GGG acknowledges to fight Canelo at 168-175? Abel said in 2014 that GGG would fight at 175 if he became popular. That’s 15lbs of science fiction talk?

Bruh!!! Mexican Bidnesss for everyone! Ay caramba!!

I remember when Travieso won a secondary belt and the reporter let him know about it, travieso got mad as hell for that; he was saying to all the people that he was a 4 weight champion just like Morales and Marquez. Canelo has been playing the marketing game a long time, I don't mind Mexican Bidness to be so sheepish.

What do you mean? I’ve been on record to say I want Canelo to WIN A REAL BELT AT 168. I’ve never boasted about Canelo being a 4X weight “Champion.” Ever!! I don’t have to! Why? Because Canelo has dates to fulfill in the years to come and I’m sure and confident that he will win a true strap at 168. Now is Canelo a 4X weight class fighter? Yes, but a Champ? No. That has nothing to do with how good Fielding or Nunez are.

We'll see, it's undeniable that ginger has been improving a lot the last few years, his technique and timing are probably top 3 in the game today, and I have no doubt in my mind that he has a chance to surpass Chavez Sr as mexico's best (and I'm a huge Chavez fan), but he gives too much priority to easy W's, Mayweather teach him a lot about technique but also a lot about getting the right fights at the right time and real boxing fans (not boxers fans) don't like that s**t.
