Either guy wouldn’t cater to that if they are true champions , everyone who knows the rules knows the top guys were in the picture before Whyte was .

Fights are made on paper not confrontation,Whyte knew declining A.J in the first place and struggling to get a Wilder fight way back in 2018 what he was in store for not to mention Wilders own tweets of freezing him out which happened before he declined A.J .

I dont know man, all I hear is him talk but backing out when it could get real. He is just talking and running his mouth right now, hoping that he'll get some piece of that Fury-AJ cake in terms of big step away money.

If I remember rightly, the Whyte was ranked no.1 with the WBC and the fight against Ortiz wasn't a final eliminator but a bout to decide who would be the "second mandatory" behind Dominic Breazeale who leapfrogged from no.2 to become the mandatory challenger. In fairness, becoming a "second mandatory" isn't exactly appealing given that it probably wouldn't see you fight for the title for around 2 years once unifications have been taken into consideration.

Unless there was another occasion that I am forgetting.

For crying out loud, can you guys stop mentioning Ortiz's name in the same sentence with Whyte. Ortiz has fought nobody all through his career.
