This is beyond ridiculous. Mikey can't even make 135 now. Not sure why there's still people out there that believe this fight could happen, or ever could've happened.

And for the commentor that says "he doesn't belong at WW, blah blah blah"..... the man is 1-1 at Welterweight, and a 4 division champ. How can you NOT at least give him a chance to fight his way to where he wants to be?! Remember, this is a job too. Fighting Pac brings in the most money, creates the best opportunity to get a 5th division belt, and the best shot to shut some of you haters up. If he wins, he's big time now. If he loses, then it's likely assurance he should move back down to 140, and he probably would. But you can't be great if you don't try! I never understand the hate on this fight.

The problem is most fans remember Spence beating him like a rented mule in a 12-0 drubbing that was never competitive. When Mikey said "I see something", he meant a Manny check.

Everybody talks Pacquiao. Pacquiao is the lottery. I'm not mad at Garcia.....but he's on a long list of fighters trying to get a shot at Powerball and/or Megamillions.....I mean, uh Pacquiao.

Mikey a name, coming off a win, and not dangerous . Pac can fight him then take a dangerous fighter after.

If Pac takes a dangerous fight night it will most likely show his age and speed up his retirement.

I compare to it Floyd fighting Robert. G...but without the belt

People like you do, I agree. But there's a lot of fans out there like myself, that look at a career of a fighter, weighted heavily by most recent performances of course (which unfortunately doesn't bode well for Mikey, i admit. But who cares, there's been a victory against a quality opponent since that fight, and careers move forward). They call us purists.

Sure, there's big money involved, who wouldn't want this fight? You act as if Mikey is the only fighter that wants to fight Pac for the money.... EVERY fighter does! It's not up to you who "deserves" to fight which fighter for which reason. This isn't tournament format. Fighters fight who they want to fight. Only the two of them decide if they deserve it.

The beating Mike Garcia took from Spence was worse than the weak win over Vargas.

Also, prior to Guerrero fighting Floyd, he was coming off 17 wins with the only loss in his career (at the time) coming 7 years prior.
I’m not tooting Guerrero to be the best opponent but he was not coming off one-sided losses like Garcia or Rios or Mosley or Margarito or Broner or Mathysse
