Hamed, but not by a big margin

he beat over 10 world champions and unified the titles in the featherweight division, his only loss was to mexican legend Barrera

but the lack of heart he showed after that loss was dissapointing.

Did Barrera retire after losing to Junior Jones?

no, he came back and beat the likes of Morales, Johnny Tapia, and Naseem himself, proving he was truly one of the greats. Naseem didn't

Hamed easily. Essentially cleaned out the featherweight division in the 90’s. Beat every title holder. Only lost to an ATG in Barrera.

Naseem had already made multi millions. Barrera hadn’t...

The hunger had gone, it wasn’t a lack of heart.

Naz for sure, he actually made you want to watch the little guys. He along with Morales, Barrera etc helped get the little guys noticed back then. The paydays that he brought for his opponents were something else. The fact that he made enough money not to fight anymore at 28 years old says it all. And he wasn't even tempted to comeback and never did.

Naseem Hamed was one of the best paid ATLETHES in the world. He had made 40 million USD before the barrera fight. Around 60 million USD in todays money. He had lost motivation. Watch the documentary Little Prince- Big fight. The most important thing for him before the fight was his haircut lol.

I dont know if its true but heard that he tripled his net worth after his career. Invested most of his money in oil. His paydays were "something else". He paved the road for the little guys to make serious money. "According to boxing trainer Emanuel Steward, Hamed "opened the door" for British fighters as well as for boxers from lower weight divisions to earn significant prize money; his earnings were unprecedented for a featherweight. According to his boxing trainer son Javan "SugarHill" Steward, Hamed's "flair and skill and confidence" inspired "a generation" and "gave fighters over here a massive opportunity, the confidence to crack the American market".

By January 2001, Hamed had reportedly amassed a fortune of £50 million[42] ($75,746,700). That would be 108 million USD in todays money. Could you ever imagine a featherweight be that rich today?

Hamed for sure, his run as featherweight champion was very impressive. Top guy in the division for a few years

every one of those guys was well past it except Marcos Maidana, which was Khans best win and he still made Khan do the funky chicken dance while getting his best win.
