Yep. And honestly someone needs to talk him into making a real run a Cruiserweight. I'd place him up there with Briedis and Dorticos.

Yeah but things change with the landscape right now there is only 2 options in the US its either TR or PBC.

I feel the Heavyweight roster at PBC beats the one TR has who would he fight at TR only options are Fury who is tied up at the moment for what seems to be a while and Pulev who is going to fight Joshua. Big Baby would have been a good match up but he messed it all up. I know they are building some Heavyweights but I don't think they are ready yet we shall see though.

I saw the website and the only ones I can see him fighting are Oscar Rivas, Carlos Takam and Bryant Jennings. Conto and Vianello are not ready yet.

i think the concept of matchroom usa may be going away. how much could micheal hunter have cost? he couldn't be cannon fodder for the "stars"? last week hearn made an anti andrade, jacobs statement. something to the effect that if you can't sell you're out of here. where's tevin farmer? the only usa guy not on the obvious chopping block is devin haney and no mention of a fight for him and his potential opponents fortuna, campbell, garcia (not really) and linares all just coupled up with each other. very little mention of the dazn in the eddie hearn garden fights. golovkin would probably be more popular in europe now than in the usa especially considering possible opponents. dazn does not sound at all interested in a usa presence at all let alone a takeover or they plan to give the usa to golden boy

Hunter was a problem for Hearn. What was he going to do with him? He's a high risk, low reward fight for their favoured in-house fighters. Now, by cutting Hunter loose, he can easier keep them away from him.

The writing is on the wall with Matchroom USA. Not sure if deadzone completely goes under but it’s clear that Slaveroom has had its judges cut severely. I expect to see Devin Haney and BooBoo Andrade to part ways with them next since they can’t do anything for their careers. There is really no reason for any American to sign with Hearn who has now gone back to being a domestic promoter for the British scene. If deadzone makes it it will be because of Golden Boy, who always had the goods for deadzone anyway. In any event, Hunter would be an excellent fit for PBC. He’s right, he’s a black American and he should be fighting in the USA anyway. BooBoo and Haney should do exactly the same.
By the way, in all honesty, I’d I was DLH I’d start looking for a contract with either ESPN or Showtime.....

Hunter had the physical attributes but was scared to use them always a defensive cagey fighter didn't try to knock ppl out and didn't like to make it physical even though he had chin and power good move by matchroom

By the way, does this mean Eddie Hearn won’t be completing his “american takeover”???

I think the issue with Hunter is the same with Joe Joyce, they just don’t say too much and it means not a lot of people pay any attention to them. Hunter should be better known, his profile is just isn’t right. Hopefully he gets a promoter who would believe in him and spend more time showcasing and talking about him. He definitely needs a mouthpiece like Sam Jones (Joe Joyce’s manager).

as usual, there's just too many dumb comments here, people going overboard.
Hunter left pbc, does that mean pbc were finished? jeuz...

I like Michael Hunter, but the problem is if you put him in vs any decent HW eg a joseph parker...that fight would be kind of dead in the US.
i mean that's a flipping quality fight..but i saw how some of you black american guys were talking when hunter drew with povetkin, just trashing him (because he's wih matchroom duh).
The fights that generate more interest in the US are around the MW divisions and lower. The card in Fresno, Texas was an example of that.

I think Eddie would rather put on HW fights for the UK market for now..and that makes sense.
For example if we get Joseoph parker vs Usyk, they have profile in the UK, not the US. in the UK they would struggle to sell 10k tickets. in the uk they could headline at the o2 or MEN (with a good undercard).
