Or would he have remained undefeated a lot longer?

Other champions at the time were: Miguel Vazquez, Ricky Burns and Richar Abril. Omar Figueroa became interim champ around this time period too.

He would probably lose to the scales before losing to a fighter at that weight.

He actually let his hands go to, threw combinations instead of just single shots.

I rewatched the Gavin Rees fight before and it made me wonder who would or could have beat him at 135.

He was actually making lightweight pretty easily until he lost dedication.

Adrien Broner seems as if he will have little difficulty making the lightweight limit for his Feb. 16 title defense against Gavin Rees at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, according to figures provided by World Boxing Council official William Boodhoo. Broner came in at 145 pounds on Jan. 18, a figure certified by Bernie Profato of the Ohio athletic commission, according to the WBC. That was several pounds under the 10 percent range — 149 pounds — required by the WBC for its 30-day interval weigh-ins. Broner’s weight was taken 28 days before he is to step on the scale for the pre-fight weigh-in.

            Could be part of it.

IMHO, Broner didn't move up due to lack of comp or dedication. His body didn't give him a choice.

Nothing but his chin followed him up through the divs.

You think he’d have stayed undefeated that long?

Yeah that’s what I was thinking...

Would they have fought though? I could see the Haymon-Arum Cold War stopping that fight from happening.
