Marvelous Marvin Hagler Most Skilled Southpaw Ever

MMH fought two top 15 ATGs: SRL & Duran. He beat one of these top 15 atgs and had a fight that could have gone either way with the other.

Whitaker was elegant and styled on Mexico’s greatest JCC, but didn’t have the opportunity to face fighters as great as SRL and Duran

manny is impressing us with his longevity, but overcame Only 1 of his 3 rivals in Morales. Marquez got the better of him, and Floyd gave him a boxing lesson. MMH and Whitaker are both very capable inside fighters while manny hasn’t shown us much at that range

anyways who is your most skilled southpaw of all time?

You make a really good case for Marvin. I really liked Marvin Hagler and say you’re probably right that he’s the best southpaw. I’d also have Tiger Flowers, Joe Calzaghe, and Vicente Saldivar close behind him in no particular order.

Whitaker was the best for me. Not a whole lot in it between he, Hagler, and Pacquiao, though.

Guess it comes down to what people like better

Whitaker styling on Chavez or Hagler’s two good fights vs top 15 atgs

            Whittaker to me.

HE beat an undefeated Chavez & De La Hoya (robberies aside).

Hagler's probably the greatest southpaw in terms of his accomplishments, but Duran was 25lbs past his best weight at 160 and then Hagler lost to a SRL who was 2 weight classes above his best weight class and had never fought at 160 prior.
