Lol lol lol, every fighters has ducked someone.

Why get but hurt over this with Floyd and bring up other fighters who have ducked.

Fact is at that time Floyd was shook by Margs. Hindsight is 20-20 now and everyone can say Floyd would have beat him anyways and Margs is a cheat. But back then none of that was part of their career.

At that time, Floyd was shook and dude was no ready for that version of Margs.

It was a huge duck because back then that shít was a major topic, so major it’s still talked about today.

Floyd didn’t want no part of that version of Margs.

its "butt" not "but" and im far from hurt over this....i could ask you the same question "why even make your reply"? i answered it for the same reason...its a boxing forum and were here to discuss it

it was a major topic because floyd is a major topic...he still is today....this thread is just another example...and floyd has a ton of haters that love to perpetuate "ducks" that floyd is some "fraud"....and you know all of this is true

ive already presented facts....arum said straight up floyd left him because he wouldnt guarantee him 10 mil each for hatton and cotto fights and wouldnt try to make the oscar fight.....arum said floyd would have taken the margs fight if bob had complied

          He did!
He retired right as the division was hot, Cotto, Paul Williams and Margarito were all good opponents, but he retired.

Don't forget that Floyd also retired rather than give Oscar the rematch that was in the contract, that is why Oscar fought Manny, the same guy that Floyd ducked for years.

History will not be good for a guy that cherry picked and fought fighters at the right time (for him).
His resume at 147 could have been better, but he went for easy fights (Berto for God's sake after Berto was washed up)

Floyd Mayweather Jr. rejected promoter Bob Arum's $8 million offer to fight welterweight titlist Antonio Margarito, and he instead exercised a provision in his contract to buy Arum out.

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

Arum said he was simply not interested in participating in a De La Hoya-Mayweather fight, but not because of his distaste for De La Hoya.

"I don't want to, because if I did that fight, I would be working for such a small percentage, it's not worth it," he said.
