Canelo become a high risk, huge reward opponent and still fighters don't want to fight him I guess.

Coronavirus messed up boxing. Many prefer the purse ratio had there been no pandemic. Also Canelo has to deal with fighters whom don’t want to fight in a closed setting. What other champions want to do that? It’s not as easy as it seems.

The most logical approach is a boxer who doesn’t mind a closed setting and will make his bigger purse yet, or a boxer who’s experienced and seen the big lights before and would take a pay regardless. As ShoulderRoll stated, Dirrell could be it. It’s at the mercy of Haymon and his PBC status.

Everyones suffered a pay cut because of Coronavirus. These guys running boxing are gonna use it as an excuse to return to mismatches and non competitive fights, but the boxing fan has been without long enough to withdraw their support for these rubbish fights and demand good ones. All we heard for weeks is "were gonna make the best fights once we're back, we've lost a lot of time" now it's "ah, but there's no crowd we gotta ease back in"..
