that's why I started hy saying the franchise title is lame and shouldn't exist. My point is that organizations should make unification a priority over their mandatory. So if Loma is going to unify with Lopez or fury is going to unify with Joshua, they should risk having their titles stripped for trying to unify their division. Now if you wanna hop to another weight class and not face your mandatory, that is cause for being stripped.

I guess Hearn's champion, AJ, has been fighting his ordered mando's without complaining. Beside, Hearn has made it clear that he wasn't happy about the manner one of his boxer, Haney, became WBC champion.

While I would love to see divisions unified, I do believe that the right thing to do, is to force champions to also entertain their mandotary obligations. It's a matter of adjusting their schedule.

They themselves are beneficiary of the mandotary system, so they must offer others the same opportunity to become a champion. If you are confident that you are the best you take the challenge without hasitation. Just a decade or 2 ago champions used to fight at least 4 times per year, including mandotaries and unification bouts.

The IBF leaving slots empty is rare when have they done it ,how often ? When have they had a guy ranked 25 fight for a title ? This was Washington who was placed in the top 10 without a fight to get there prior to Wilder . The IBF rules also usually have the top 2 guys available fight for the title shot when has WBC done this when Wilder was champion ?
