AJ has never been knocked out, in the literal sense and boxing rules sense. Wlad, obviously, proven puncher, you can’t argue with that. Whyte and Povetkin, proven punchers, you’d be ****** to argue with that. Andy Ruiz, not as much as the others...but still proven. None of those are (seemingly) bigger one punch knockout artists than Wilder, but that’s not the point, the point is in the next paragraph which shows Wilder has the more suspect chin. And on top of that, it’s not difficult to look like a formidable puncher when you’ve literally fought 40 nobodies, a quarter of which were legit cruiserweights paid to move up and went back to cruiserweight after being knocked out.
Wilder was rocked bad by Eric fúcking Molina LOL by no means has he ever been viewed as a big puncher. Dropped hard by Sconiers (WHO? Exactly
). Szpilka had him in trouble, another guy who is by no means viewed as a puncher. Hurt multiple times in the first Ortiz fight. And Ortiz has the same kind of power AJ does, heavy hands, just nowhere near the degree. Then there’s Fury in the first fight...hurt Wilder multiple times. Breazeale stiffened his legs up just before he got laid out, the same guy that couldn’t make AJ flinch lol
Wilder has the weaker chin and defence. He looks good against shorter guys with no power that are scared of him, but no so good against anybody with an above amateur-level skill set that isn’t scared and is of the same height. AJ would back him up, tag him up, then bag him up. The only people who think Wilder is half decent or has a chance against any of the top guys are deluded Wildette’s or hardcore Fury fans trying to make the Wilder win seem better than it actually is
don’t get me wrong, it’s a good win...against literally the poorest skilled heavyweight champion with the poorest resume of fighting a who’s who of nobodies.
