The last couple of days when the Spinks stuff came out, I was a inch away and started a 100 times to make a thread saying that "Floyd may still fight Baldy", but I didnt want to do it because I knew I would be ripped.
I just thought everyone and the writers jumped to conclusions when they said that the IBF sanctioned the Spinks fight. That isnt enough info because that sounds like Floyd's people just checking to make sure that they could fight Spinks for the title if they wanted to go that route but still hadnt decided.
I still dont know for sure what is going to happened but I did think Floyd was crazy to fight Spinks, because he shouldnt want to move up that soon, Spinks is a much harder fight, & these clowns would rip him for it.
Whats so funny is that so many of you guys are actually happy now and thinking that Floyd is taking a harder fight. This is a joke. If you think that Baldy will win one single round much less a whole fight then you are crazy. Floyd will kill him and may stop him. In the meantime Spinks will again kill a top guy like Rivera and everyone will look dumb again.
That will setup for Feburary a Spinks-Floyd fight which will be much bigger by then and Floyd will get much more credit for it, thats if Floyd doesnt get the Mosley fight or choose to fight Margarito by then.
Floyd's people said the whole time that the Spinks fight would be in Febuaray & they had no comment when people asked them about the Spinks fight. Cunninham said it was done but he was the one saying from the jump that it was on when it wasnt.
At the end of the day we dont know which fight will happened but I hope its this Baldy fight since some people dont seem to have eyes, and thinks that Baldy is better then Spinks or that Baldy will give Floyd a harder fight or that Baldy has a better resume then Spinks.
If this fight happeneds then I would pick Floyd by a late stoppage off the cumilation of hard shots. This fight will also backup my claim of Floyd being the best D fighter in a long time and that cant be hit clean by a righty no more. I bet that Baldy doesnt land over 10 clean shots the whole fight and I just said that many to give myself a cushion.
