People shouldn't just stand by and accept criminality and corruption. They didn't in this case and all the attention caused Arum and Fury to pull back from dealing with Kinahan.

That's a good lesson to remember moving forward. And it wouldn't hurt to shine that light into other dark corners of this sport as well. Wish the boxing media would be more assertive.
Can't disagree there, course the sport has had close links with organised crime for pretty much it's entire existance and this is one of the hurdles that have prevented it from becoming fully legitimised under a single body, but anything like this is a step in the right direction in my book. Most likely Kinahan is just the tip of the iceberg of course when it comes to the overall global sport but that doesn't make it any less necessary to tackle it.

Intense media scrutiny of Bob Arum and Mauricio Sulaiman would do a lot of good too. Among other names that could be mentioned.

Boxing reporters can't be afraid that they will be denied access to fighters and events if they ask tough questions. That's part of their job and it's an important role that they have to play.

Kinahan has no criminal record, and is innocent until proven guilty in the eyes of the law.
        Well said. Good post.
