I said popular, not more recognizable.Men lie, women lie, numbers do not! Had that been true he would've been higher paid than Floyd and did better numbers than Floyd.
Old media hated Floyd and praised pac consistently. And the racists followed suit. That don't mean Floyd wasn't bigger. We didn't have the level of social media and internet we have today, back then, if we did history would've played out very different. Floyd was still the most popular fighter. His ratings, numbers, and income supports that.
If we held a popularity poll of who is more beloved in America, Mayweather or Pac, Pac would absolutely win.
It's just like pro wrestling, the good guy may be more popular in terms of being beloved, but the bad guy may drive the ticket sales.Comment

Exactly the point of my post. Had Manny been more popular the numbers would've backed him and not Floyd. They were on even playing fields. 20 year old girls in Indianapolis even know who Manny Pacquiao is so it was never a matter of Floyd being so far outta his league in fame. Manny's name was built off Floyd. If you know one, you usually know the other. If we held a popularity contest by demographics it would be even more telling, so what's your point? Thats a road of opinion there's always room for disagreement. There is no room when it comes to numbers. If they liked Manny they would've bought all his PPVs. Numbers support Floyd on this one.I said popular, not more recognizable.

That's not true at all.
More name recognition doesn't mean more popular.
Hitler has 100% name recognition, it doesn't mean he's popular. Lots of people would tune in to see Hitler be executed or tortured.
Now, I'm not comparing Floyd to Hitler at all (obviously), but I'm arguing that the majority of the fans tuning in to see Floyd get his ass whooped doesn't make him popular.
Why do you think he has ZERO endorsements? No companies would touch him with a 10ft pole.
People love to hate Floyd (outside of some in the Black community). He's almost universally loathed.
Manny, is almost universally respected, even by a lot of the Hispanic community who's fighters he regularly beat and White boxing fans who resent Floyd (for a whole of reasons, some valid & some racist as hell).
Pretty much only Floyd fans hate Manny.
Everybody else loves or respects or is ambivalent against the guy.Comment

All of that was your opinion. I don't know why Floyd didn't have more endorsements. Just like you don't. I do know he didn't need them and wasn't desperate to sign just any deal.Had Manny been more popular the numbers would've backed him and not Floyd.

Hitler ain't known world wide. Just in heavily "western" aka colonized by whites areas. And he's known because whites talk about him all day every year and pretend he was the worse person on earth.
If he was universally loathed he wouldn't get loved and praised in every country he pops up in. The racists on the internet are just that- racists on the internet. Cowards. Spiteful. White fans hate him for race reasons and they are irrelevant. Because he was still more popular than Manny. Manny has the same global recognition as Floyd. Its human nature to support what we LIKE. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't. 1000 people knew Floyd, 1000 people knew Manny. 1000 supported Floyd fights, 700 supported Manny fights. You're trying to twist it into something it isn't- Floyd was more popular. You see why restaurants were losing b business during the 2020 *** movement? Because the owners were racist and people stopped supporting them. Because we didn't LIKE them aka they were no longer popular with us. Floyd was extremely popular which is why so many people always supported him over Manny. Heck even on social media Floyd gets more support. Heck. even in the Phillipines they praised Floyd IN PERSON. The odd weirdo ain't enough.Comment
