That is what happens when you don't fight your mandatory. Porter didn't choose to fight Ugas anymore than Crawford chose to fight Mean Machine. Now Crawford fighting Ugas next is completely voluntary. A guy who most would choose to avoid.

Yer well Terance has been copping alot of heat for not fighting the pbc fighters but thats not on Bud.
Bud will fight whoever they put infront of him.
Bud will take over the division if he can get the fights he needs.

Ugas is a good fight for him to make his case as number one in the division. I saw Ugas beat Porter in a better fashion than Errol Spence.

This my friend we can completely agree on.
I would rather see Bud fight Ugas than a Spence leftover.
Ugas should have been given that fight against Porter so to me Bud/Ugas is da fight.
If Bud stops Ugas that would be insane.
          BRING IT ON.

good fight....ugas is a tough out for anyone...

i think, without restrictions or complications, brook is the fight we would have seen.....but ugas is easier and less money so it makes sense for TR from that standpoint.....still probably not the kinda fight bud sorta needs...one that would raise his profile....but this will earn some points from hardcores or guys who are doubting bud

Fore sure Ugas is a tough SOB to beat, nobody wants the risk little reward against Ugas.

Course I'd be wanting confirmation, but if true that's a good damn fight. Bud's my dude but I was a little disappointed with the response to Porters offer, whatever the reason, but this would make up for it and some I reckon.

Ugas seems a high risk low reward fight for most, fair play to Crawford. He's got history of taking these kind of fights on . It seems similar to when he gave Felix diaz a beating at 140. Going into that diaz was regarded an underrated highly skilled fighter.

Cheaper option compare to the rest, Ugas isn’t in the PBC higher agenda so they wouldn’t prevent him from taking the fight, just like they didn’t prevent Ruiz from fighting Joshua.
