What Fight Got You Interested in Boxing?

I watched Tyson when I was Eight and became interested. The fights that got me hooked where Buddy McGirt-Simon Brown and Hector Camacho - Greg Haugen. Then started watching ever old tape and fight I could see and read about. With all the young guys on here just wondering what got you hooked.

Benn and Eubank fight and early tyson and Lewis fights. I watched big george on his comeback which made me look back at his older fights. the rumble in the jungle got me hooked for good!

I think my earliest fight that I can remember being excited about was probably Tyson vs someone. But since then it has been more of the lower weight classes i.e. jrWelter, WW, LMW, MW.

I watched alot of Hagler fights when I was young and living in the Boston area........too young to even rememebr who he was fighting but I can remember my Dad telling me about him and us watching the fights.I really, really became interested in boxing in the early Tyson days and when Hagler/Leonard popped off.

When I was about 10, my brother would have ppv parties & I would really get into the fights, I think it was always a Tyson fight. Then I got into boxing again thanks to Legendary Nights on HBO. I talked to my grandmother about Arguello since we're Nica & she told me my late grandfather had a collection of his fights he had recorded(on Beta, talk about old school)& I saw some classic Arguello & real early Tyson fights back when he was eating everyone alive the my gramps had also recorded, then I would always look into upcoming fight on foxsports & HBO & stumbled on to Boxingscene, I've been discussing boxing ever since. I'm seriously considering taking it up at least as a good cardiovascular workout.

I remember as a kid watching Ray Mancini fight on a saturday afternoon on ABC wide world of sports. Don`t know who against, but he won. Also around the same time I remember wathing Pryor vs Arguello with my uncle when I was just a little kid.
