If the WBC makes Fury the Franch champ and Whyte the champ then i hope Joshua/Whyte 2 happens first for the undisputed fight. But there is a rematch still lingering with the Fury/Wilder 3 fight. Once we know who the winner is then we can talk, i actually don't think they would make Fury the Franch champ, but if Wilder wins then he would be made one.

It's not a title anyway. It's "a designation", whatever that means.
Also, Franchise champ is NOT recognized by other organizations as a WBC champ, (full) WBC champ IS!
Consequence: franchise vs other Orgs. champs is NOT unification, only (full) WBC champ vs other champs IS considered unification.

It makes you wonder why champs looking to unify would even consider it .

If WBC makes Gypsy Boar a "franchise" champ and Whyte a "full" champ, Hearn should overlook Fury and instead make AJ vs Whyte for undisputed. Fück them.

All the promoters and fighters who have been been done over and shafted by the WBC should pull all there fighters and business away from it.
In the 80’ it was the belt to fight for but now it’s probably the worst belt.
We’ve seen how canelo is favoured and how the WBC have continually made rules up to suit there own pocket and agenda.
Time to move away from the WBC I think

Due to the shutdown of boxing because of the pandemic, an extension to the date for all mandatories is both predictable and reasonable. Unifications trump mandatories so there's no need for Fury/WBC to go the "franchise" route.

Does the WBC work for PBC? What is all this confusion Sulaiman has brought to boxing? Fury is not behaving like a man! He should face Whyte. Hate or like Wilder, if he had not given Fury the opportunity he would have been there fighting Pizzanetta.

WBC is most corrupt boxing organsiation. Franchise Champion is just a way for them to make more money out of fans. I get people support their favourite fighter but when the franchise champion is someone you don't like this will backfire on you. It's just bad for boxing fullstop.

Wait until other boxing organisations follow them... If boxing wasn't ridiculous enough already....

In the perfect world, I want that Tag to be eliminate

I never like that idea of Franchise WBC Champion tag. I feel this quit something from boxing and make a mockery to boxing history roots.

If this was a true sport it would already be talked about.
Give the fans what we want for once.
                      But politics 🤔😡
Should have happened in a 18. But r@c15.t hypejob told us on a sky interview "i won't be rushed into the Wilder fight"
Man , seeing these line up and at the same time Ruiz losing time and momentum is sad . Almost every TOP10 fighting each other and Ruiz trying to lose weight
