How did you know? Seriously though, what have you seen of Aaron Pryor Jr.? Is he a prospect to keep an eye on or is it too early to tell?

Its a little too early to tell. So early that I've never even seen him fight professionally I've seen him spar however, with the likes of Andy Lee and Jermain Taylor, he's got really good talent. He's big, 6'4 which is incredible for 160 pounds. He likes to use the long stick to kick his man on the outside, but needs to work on making his man pay for coming in too audaciously. He's got above average power, but not one shot power.

His mother Frankie (who is a very nice lady) said that she doesn't want Aaron Jr to make the same mistakes that Stephan did. Stephan became too concerned with being a star and not enough about training seriously and staying focused. The second he got on tv, he became big-headed and then fell apart. She even had to argue with Aaron Pryor Sr to get Aaron Jr a page on the Hawk Time site. He said that he's only got 6 fights, he doesn't need to be worried about having a web page.

Right now, hes under excellent tutelage with Emmanuel Steward, and looks to be very focused. He said he wants to stay active and get to 10 fights by the end of this year or early next year. After that, then he'll start looking for TV dates and the such. But from what I've seen from his tapes, the kid is a Grade A prospect.

I might not even watch the replay, much less order the PPV.

The only thing I find shocking is someone being shocked that HBO is putting a FNF quality card on PPV.

Hell, I'm not even sure that FNF would have this card.

Well, HBO is good at selling cards with stories better than it is at selling cards with actual good fights. That's why they have all these Countdown to so and so shows. This fight has a story behind it AND the first fight was a great heavyweight slugfest. Of course fans in the know (us) realize Maskaev is not a good fighter and that he got very lucky in the first fight to land those haymakers that he did and also that Maskaev is way past his prime (which ****** anyway). Fans see the knockout that put Rahman through the ropes and over the table and think they'll get another wild fight. That first fight was way beyond a Friday Night Fights level fight because Rahman was an up and coming contender who only had one controversial loss to Tua the year before. This second one, it could easily be a boring decision win for Rahman, but I think Rock wants to make a big statement and put this guy away for good. It's not PPV worthy if Rahman vs. Toney wasn't, but HBO can and will pull it off like they always do when there's a story behind the fight.

                    I wont buy this fight.
                    If Jones/Abadi was $29.99

                    Rahman/Maskaev should be $19.99

whoa, no way. this fight is way more meaningful than Roy Jones vs. Who The ****. plus, this is a rematch from a really great heavyweight fight and for the heavyweight championship (at least one of them). Jones should have been free if this should be 20 bucks.
