If promoters can't attract better ratings should they make less money?

I would assume they are getting less backend money.
The problem with boxing isn't really the actual promoting. It's a giving mfers sh^t they wanna see problem. We are all here for the most part cuz we'll watch 90%+ of the fights on TV that we can watch. But most folks are casual fans of boxing or the NBA or the NFL or whatever sport. And they watch when they are emotional invested in a event. And boxing is one of the worst sports at getting fans invested by giving them fights they wanna see when they wanna see them & with fans get to know the athletes who compete. When the fights happen that folks wanna see it can be bigger than any other sport. When fans get to know boxers they can become life long fans of them. That's the industry wide problem with boxing. Put fighters out there more & make good competitive fights on every slot of every card & boxing rep & ratings would greatly improve.Comment
