For most of that he lived in the UK. That stuff isn't a big deal over there the way it is in America. Regardless of how the brits try to lie and compete on that sort of stuff. It isn't.
1. America is a ton more diverse.
2. Brits natives are white people, who are still the majority. Why would they feel shame about racism to the extent that White Americans who were 300x worse would feel?
