If Fury drops the belt, or he becomes franchise champion, then the AJ vs Fury fight would no longer be for undisputed. So the fight would probably not happen next year since AJ is going for undisputed champion. Knowing this, Fury would still try to get AJ to fight him claiming that he is the lineal champion (which he isn't) and the Ring belt champion (which, who cares).
