I can't rate RJJ that high, his opponents at the weight were absolute trash. He is much more of a 175 pounder in terms of career achievements.

As for the Ward v Froch debate, h2h Ward obviously won but Froch has the WAY better achievements at the weight.

Ward was both unified and lineal champion at the weight.

        Froch was neither...

Froch is a proper joker, absolutely buries Calzaghe on the show (check it on YouTube). But it's got me thinking, who are the best super middles ever? I made a list a while back but can't find it, think its here somewhere unless it has been deleted.

Anyway, I think it wen sumin like this:

          1. Joe Calzaghe
          2. Carl Froch
          3. Chris Eubank
          4. Andre Ward
          5. Mikkel Kessler

          What say you?
Whaaaaaaa you got Joe number one ? Ward number 4 under froch. Wtf ?

1 roy jones however short lived
              2 james toney
              3 ward
              4 nunn
              5 mcclenan

Calzaghes record was padded and the people he fought barr hopkins and kessler amounted to nothing or were way past their primes "past prime hopkins but acheieved a lot after" (lets not forget that fight could have gone either way and he made calzaghe look like an amateur,i put that loss down to the age of hopkins,if he could have let his hands go say like 5 years prior he would have made calzaghe look like an imbecile

H2h id imagine james toney, roy jones and ward would have made easy work of calzaghe and made him look foolish and the others would have been competitive

Calzaghe is one of the most overated boxers on this forum and his style was so amateurish, hes so lucky to have gone undefeated even against tomato cans

Can i ask why youd put joe calzaghe just under jones?

Is kessler really that good a win, people rate calzaghe so highly of one extremely competitive close fight and beating a bunch of golf course caddies and rehabilitated smack heads

I mean cmon guys why are people ignoring calzaghes record of bums

Is lacy a good win? The guy looked garbage in his fight prior to calzaghe

The hype was based on lacy getting handed a title and beating a few bathroom attendants

I was going to put them side by side, but opted out of that. Those two of the top guys, the rest I cannot really place.

So it is in some sort of order.

The divisions history isn’t so big

You could rank RJJ there, but how many fights did he have at 168? He has the definitive Toney win certainly

Ward and Calzaghe you can debate forever

Do you include Sugar Ray Leonard? Then there’s the Collins, Eubank, Benn, Froch etc

I dunno. Really there’s RJJ, Ward and Calzaghe as the top tier, and the rest you could make a case for in any order depending on the criteria
