The way his fans, his trainer and HBO hyped him up, being able to beat Hagler, Monzon, Hopkins and even 168 fighters like Kessler, Froch, Ward..he should’ve beaten Canelo, Jacobs and Derevyanchenko without a problem.

With all that said, GGG has the better career. Margarito was caught cheating, TKO’ed, suspended for over a year, then came back and got his face torn up by Pacquiao.

GGG’s resume ain’t sh/t, he’s overhyped, didn’t live up to the hype and is one of the premier cherrypickers. But Margarito is a cheater and nothing beats that.

    Careerwise, GGG>Margarito.
how did he cherry pick? its well documented he attempted to fight just about everyone in his division for 7-8 years. he signed to fight pirog but he's cherry picking? what is that even based on? like for example when floyd fought sharmba for much less than marg and then judah coming off a loss instead of marg. pretty clear cherry picks. people turning down ggg makes ggg a cherry picker? are you just mad that people say that about your fav fighters and so you are trying to inappropriately use it yourself? good try

I would say Margarito, better names on the resume and Floyd ducked the fook outta him.

But, those hand wraps disqualify him.

GGG best wins- Daniel Jacobs, Martin Murray, David Lemieux, Curtis Stevens.
That is like asking which taste better, an ice cream sandwich or a s h i t sandwich. GGG is better by about 100 miles. has been a champion for ever and has only one disputed loss to boxing's best fighter. He tied the record for successful middlweight title defenses at 20 defenses. He has won over 90 percent of his fights by kO. He has never bean knocked down and at age 38 he is still a middleweight champion. In contrast Margarito has been knocked down and stopped a few times and has lost so many times these last few years it's hard to keep track. has bean beaten into retirement for a while now. Your question is ****** beyond belief. Maybe you should follow a different sport you can understand like table tennis or volley ball. Combat sports seem to confuse you.

i've seen people erroneously claim ggg ducked ward because they purposefully or ignorantly dont know what wards offer actually was but you said he ducked him 3 times. so what were the other 2 times?

                    Old Sergio Martinez
                    Smaller, shorter Cotto

                    Told Ward 164lbs
                    Told Froch 166lbs

                    Lost to Dereyanchenko

                    Draw with Jacobs.

I’m with you. Still I love how “Mythical Marg” still exists. Nobody would choose to fight like or have margs skills over GGGs. There’s a lot of hate for GGG. But he had good footwork and body punches at his best. Yes he blocks most punches with his face now, but he’s almost 40 and it’s still not as bad as Margs defence. The same people were sure he’d pound an old Sugar Shane. He got rubbished. Let’s see what happens when an older Canelo has to fight a young lion? Canelo was the one who wouldn’t get on the fight night scale v ggg. He went up to 175. I hate hearing about who is smaller/lighter when it’s all speculation. Get on the fight night scale.
