Potential Pick Ems for next week (15 - 21 June)

Ok gents just looking for a little feedback on whether the Pick Em players are willing to consider some of the the slightly lower level fights coming up in the next week, more so I can get a feel for what kinda fights to include going forward.

Most of the upcoming involving dudes with a slightly higher profile are wild mismatches so I've tried to include only those fights that are less than +1000, but also include at least 1 fighter that you won't have to be a complete obsessive to have heard of...

OK, so as it stands the possibilities for next week (with boxrec ranking and current odds parenthesised) are as follows:

    2020/06/16

Joshua Greer Jr (BR11, -500) vs Mike Plania (BR51, +400)

    Giovani Santillan (BR125, -350) vs Antonio DeMarco (BR60, +275)

    2020/06/18

    Jose Pedraza (BR8, -700) vs Mikkel LesPierre (BR154, +650)

Only other fight which might be of interest (unless you want to see Navarette flatten Uriel Lopez) is the Philly Special between cross town rivals Steven Ortiz and Damon Allen which is apparently seen as a close match-up although I've been unable to find any odds for it.

Two Philadelphia-bred prospects willing to put risk well before reward truly makes this one a Philly Special. Local lightweights Damon Allen and Steven Ortiz have agreed to terms for what will serve as the main event of the March 27 ‘Philly Special’ show at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The show is presented by Michelle ‘Raging Babe’ Rosado, who debuted the series last February and—with this headliner—couldn’t wait to head back home.

Steven Ortiz (BR73) vs Damon Allen (BR222)

Anyways gentlemen, please make your feelings known. I'm very keen to get the Pick Em rolling again, but I don't want to do it in such a way that it puts folk off by including too many fights that only a few players care about..

Regards and hope you've all been OK through this period, let's hope the second half of this year's Pick Em is the best yet.

I think the two fights on the 16th are competitive enough. Pedraza-LesPierre a little less so but not a mismatch.

    I’m good with all three.

Thanks for the heads up man. Now you come to mention it I might have seen an article about that yesterday or a coupla days ago, I think there was an interview with the chick who put it together or something.

You fancy joining in with the Pick Em when it's up and running again? Even with the break we had you're probably a bit late to be in with a shot at ranking, but it still a good bit of fun and a test of knowledge.

              But

Raise of hands: how many of you guys don’t know enough about the fighters in question?

I’m fine with whatever but I think we’re all going to pick the same way for these fights.

                    Santillan-DeMarco is worthy, maybe.

                    That's about it.
