Comments Thread For: Fury: I'm Not Overlooking Wilder, This is His Last Chance at Big Time

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is not overlooking his upcoming trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder. Back in February, the two boxers met in their highly anticipated rematch at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas - and Fury dropped and stopped Wilder in the seventh round.

Probably the most balanced thing Tyson's said since lockdown. He's seemed up and down in his mini interviews but this one reads well and hopefully where's he's at in terms of what's going on..

Even though Wilder is injured I thought some leaks of some sort of changes would surface (it may have but not seen any). I'm sure he knows he's got to change it, his team surely knows he's got to change it. It's whether he can and does. I fully expect another Fury win, whether it's such a beat down as the last I don't know but and it's a big but, Tyson still has to be weary because Wilder is more than capable of landing and winning.

I've said it many a times that this is Wilders last throw at the dice. Is he going to go into it with his usual training, hope for best and cash out of it goes pear shaped or is he going to try change it and aim for the lot?

Third fight is pointless, Wilder is a limited bum. Face AJ, Whyte, or Parker, fat boy.

Fury is level headed he don't believe hype.
True, anything can happen.in.rematches. Just because you win first fight comfortably don't mean you don't lose rematch comfortably.
Some big names and their fans use excuse they won first fight comfortably nobody wants rematch?
Well they only don't want rematch if you bore them to tears in first fight. But then you owe a more exciting rematch

One guy is working out the intricacies of strategy and skill, the other is still blaming other people. Wilder needs to work on hes actual gameplan, because Fury notices every little eye twitch. There's nothing lucky in boxing, it's like chess.

I think Wilder will win the third fight.

You can analyze the first and second fight all you want but Wilder had no trouble landing either fight. He just never landed flush in the 2nd fight and was generally terrible that night. Even then Fury couldn't legitimately stop him. I predict a much better Wilder will KO Fury in the 3rd fight and he will go on to fight AJ.

I agree, it's frustrating as a Wilder fan because I want a reason to continue to believe he's got a chance, but, the **** has he given me to work with? Nada.

I can agree with everything here Roberto apart from 'couldnt legitimately stop him'. It's not that couldn't but never got the chance.. I think The ref stopped what could have led to serious damage to wilder. He was well out of the picture and boardering not being able to defend himelf.. He probably did him a favour which allowed this third fight and a chance of winning his belts back and possibly onto AJ..

Sure Fury stopped him or was most likely going to stop him - but it wasn't like he knocked him out - that's what I was getting at.

Fury had Wilder pretty much out on his feet after the first knockdown and Wilder was still there in round 7. That's kind of worrying. I think the reason Wilder was so unstable then was purely because Fury's punch landed on the back or side of his head - he can't rely on that happening every fight. I just think this fight is a lot harder than people are making out for Fury. Even if he gets on top - it won't be like last time.
