So while Taylor and Ramirez move up to the big leagues this guy plans to stay behind to play gatekeeper to some kids.

Oh definitely that would be a good fight I favor Crawford because he can box and is long but I'd still watch it and couldn't complain because Pacquiao eliminated Thurman so it wouldn't be out of reach for either one.

Except not China lets do Dubai lol

Dude is content spending his whole career in the minor league version of welterweight.

What if Mikey Garcia offered Prograis to fight him @ 147? Hmmm? Hooker might as well chase Vergil Ortiz Jr., or Mikey Garcia too! Not many options @ 147 at DAZN.

If Prograis can make 140 without losing something he should stay there. Why did Hooker sign for 143 if he can't make it? What happened between time of signature and now - I'm guessing he's been lazy (read non-professional) during Covid and blown up to who knows what walk-around weight.

The jump from 140-147 isn't mentioned as a difficult jump but recently there have been a number of fighters who've looked stellar at 140 but can't dominate 147

    Matthyse
Danny Garcia - competitive but not dominant
    Khan - best win Alexander
Crawford - he's assumed to be top two on the eyeball test but it's not proven yet
Mikey Garcia - was a champ at 140

All of which leaves Pac looking even better. Beats former champion Thurman at 40 years old - there's an ATG fighting before your eyes.

why people are pushing him to 147, he isnt that big and Hooker isnt WW himself, 140 is more compétitive division with more potetntial match/ups, he is still a top dog and can become the ****ing king of this division, Taylor-Prograis fight was a final and at the time for the best 140 pounder, Ramirez is clearly weaker than both Taylor and Prograis and imo loses to both of them

Lol minor league welterweight get the hell out of here dude 140 has more competitive fights at the moment than 147 where there is only 2 big names on a collision course in Spence and Crawford and everybody else is just recycling fights against each other. Crawford name drops a lot knowing damn well he fights top rank fighters only.
wouldnt mind crawford vs pacquaio though...

That's silly. He's a top dog at 140 and there are still very good matchups for him there. If he can make 140 comfortably then he should stick around, win some more fights and try to put himself in a position where he challenges the winner of the eventual Taylor/Ramirez fight.

People shouldn't move up just for the sake of moving up.

Prograis is too small for welter. If Hooker won’t or can’t honor the agreement he should just pass. Maybe even pursue a legal remedy.

Prograis always looks ****** up at the 140lb weight limit weigh-ins, definitely time to move up to 147 he's already 31. They should both officially move up to Weltereeight and face each other straight away. Step up to the plate Prograis don't listen to your promoter.
