Manny Pacquiao vs. Felix Trinidad at 147.

I feel people are forgetting how tough Tito was at 147. Tito also wasn't SLOW by any means. He's 5'11 w/ a 72" reach with an underrated jab and a MONSTER left hook. Sure, he got hit but why are we all of a sudden looking at Manny like a 135 version of Pernell Whitaker as if Manny wouldn't get hit at all in this fight? This would be a fight where Manny would look like (at least if this took place in '99) he didn't belong in the Division. Too big, too strong.Comment

Tito was to damn big and too damn strong for Manny Pacquiao.
Mind you, if prime Tito was at 147 today, Floyd & Manny
would've avoided him like the plague and probably stayed between 135-140.
Manny would've had his moments in the first half of the fight and then got KTFO
Fact is, Floyd & Manny wouldn't have fought a prime De La Hoya either

applies to every single manny opponent.Good matchup man. Pacquiao’s speed and angles would definitely cause Tito problems, but the physical dimensions favour Trinidad.
I’m gonna say Pacquiao on points, I think he’d win a lot of the early rounds as Trinidad was a notorious slow starter, I feel like Pacquiao builds up an early lead and Tito comes on late but just runs out of time and loses a close decision.
Pac would have to be more cautious than usual though, Tito had good timing, I always felt the right hand was the shot to time Pacquiao with though not the left hook.Comment

Tough fight for Tito imo. Surprised no one mentioned the DLH fight; you kinda get a look of how Tito handles speed and movement. Sort of a blueprint for Manny to use.
I pick Manny. I would assume he would fight Tito in a similar way that DLH fought Tito, minus the overly cautious approach and adding more aggression. Tito is too linear at times. He does have a huge advantage in size, but not sure how he would handle the speed and angles. He barely handled the speed and angles of DLH imoComment

Trinidad is the Latin version of Tommy Hearns, they were both extraordinarily huge for welterweight. Tito's too big and strong for Pac, it's not a fair match up.Comment

I think a prime Pac beats a prime Tito. Prime DLH lost a decision to prime Tito but the fans that watched the fight saw DLH easily outpoint Tito for 7/9 rounds. DLH foolishly listened to his corners advice: just run for the last 3 rounds, you've got the fight won. Well, the judges saw it differently. My point is I think Pac would have easily whooped Tito even as great as Tito wasComment

7 have tamed Manny and some were C grade, Manny has so much BS in his career.
No CWs 147 Trinidad stops him.
Manny has not beat a single non injured not coming of loses prime WW without a CW, he goes the distance with Rios Algeiri JMM Bradley all are from 140 and below. Trinidad was a full blown WW and Manny cannot handle elite prime WWs anywhere near Trinidads level.Comment
