What get's me with Whyte is that one minute he's pushing for his World title shot & the next he's talking UFC.

Whyte has a fake champion belt now that stops him from being ranked in the other organizations.

This franchise stuff has to stop. I want Joshu a vs Fury but this is ridiculous. They're trying to set Fury up as a champion that has never fought and will never fight a mandatory.

At least Joshua took Whyte on and sparked him out.
        WBC is a joke.

        It sure seems that way

“Nobody is asking the WBC to make Tyson Fury a 'franchise champion,'

Umm, I think that's what you just did, Bob.

Have to feel for Whyte, he's got the best resume of a heavyweight that hasn't received a title shot. He's a knob but he's been knocking on the door of the WBC for several years now.

And I bet someone leap frogs him for a shot after Wilder/AJ, even though he's "interim" champ.

The Heavyweight Circus goes on and on and on and on...

Maybe we could all have votes each week and have an "INTERNET CHAMPION". im sure someone on here is good enough with whatever software needed to make an E-Belt..

Fcuk Whyte and Fcuk everyone else... Get a unification on after Wilder/Fury and AJ/Pulev...

Didn't he get offered the AJ fight before before Ruiz was offered it?

I've seen people mention 1 or 2 more scenarios where he's turned his nose up...

If Fury is elevated to Franchise Champion doesnt it defeat the purpose of fighting AJ for undisputed? I thought the whole point was fighting each other for all the marbles. If Fury can't lose his status then its basically giving him a shot at all of AJ's belts with no risk of losing his title. To me that's pointless its risk free for Fury and AJ gains nothing more than another win on his record.

Yeah actually you're right, I remember him knocking back their offer and saying it was terrible.

But I just searched it, and it was apparently £4m+ which is still a great payday to anyone that isn't a star like Canelo or AJ.

I would be interested to see what percentage that was, because it was supposed to be a fight at Wembley, but still I agree he should've just taken the shot and gone for the title.

He's actually since been forced to take more risks for less money against up and coming, hungry fighters like Rivas. But I always believed that Hearn doesn't want them two to fight again just yet. That's why he's pushed Whyte to be ranked with the WBC, so he could try and get that title then they would fight in-house for all the marbles. That way Hearn ends up with an undisputed heavyweight star, no matter what.

The only reason I don't feel bad for Whyte is because he turned down a chance to fight Joshua in a rematch! You can't be mad for Fury wanting to fight Joshua, after you turned down the opportunity to do so! Hindsight is 20/20!
