Don't know how many of you have seen Hopkins beyond the glory documentary, but the prison he was in had a boxing program.

How was Tyson able to stay active while in prison? Was he even active at all?

My recollection, which is spotty at best, is that he's always been pretty quiet about his time. Can't say I recall any detailed descriptions. I assume there had to be some fitness - weights, some running - but I've never heard of him participating in any prison boxing program.

What would stop him from shadow boxing when he’s alone in his cell

There would have been people in there who would have wanted to kill him. A guy doing life has nothing to lose. Tyson was no stranger to those kinds of environments but im pretty sure he was in protective custody.

He could stay in very good condition. He has nothing else to do but train and stay strong. The food is bad and that hurts. He can run as many miles as he wants to run. He can punch the bags and he can do pushups, situps, chinups, dips and lift weights if he wants too. He couldn't train the same way he could in a boxing camp but he can stay strong and fit. Maybe he did. He could probably get nutritional supplements to improve the poor prison food. There are lots of strong fit men in jail I think.

I'm not so sure he was in PC. I know he had at least some contact with other prisoners because I seen an interview where he said he got into one fight while in prison
