It's a sign of respect. Alot of fighters do it. As long as they dont kiss on the lips then it's cool.

well trainers develop a bond and friendship with their fighters over time, so it's probably happned since the start.

if i was a trainer and my fighter hugged or kissed me before the fight, I'd slap him across the face and tell him to get his **** together and act like a man and KO this mother****er
