Anyone here know how boxers qualify for the olympics? The process? How long it takes?

You gotta go to the Amateur National tournaments in the Elite division which is fighters 18 yrs and up with over 10 Amateur fights.
There are 4 regional tournaments and the winner and runner up in each division advances to the Olympic qualifier.
So the top 8 guys in their division fight it out in the Olympic qualifier in mini tournament. Top two go on to represent the USA in the Olympic qualifing International tournaments.
If they place well they advance to the Olympics.
I super simplified it and might've missed a few steps.
