  • Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao Will Be Ready To Fight at Anytime, Says Buboy

Buboy Fernandez, the head trainer for WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, says his boxer will not require a lot of time to get himself in shape for a ring return. Pacquiao, 41-years-old, has been away from the ring since July of 2019, when he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Keith Thurman to capture the WBA title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

More importantly, what does Michael Koncz have to say about the situation?

    I want to know..

    Is he still alive?

You dont need the revue of a live audience for this fight, every seat would buy the PPV anyway and the PPV would be big enough to carry the fight on its own, stating this as a reason for it not happening just sounded like an excuse to me.

Manny's last 2 fights, broner and thurman, both brought in over $6 million each from the live gates. that money doesn't get made up in PPV buys. 75,000 PPV buys at $80 equals $6 million. i'm not saying this can't be overcome but for a fight with Manny involved that live gate is a significant amount of money and that a decent number of people need to be ok with that large amount not being there.
