Imagine Tua sitting down to watch tv and seeing title bouts between John Ruiz and Fres Oquendo or Oleg Maskaev vs Hasim Rahim and telling others I beat him... and him.. and him. But I am watching these guys on tv fighting each other for titles.

No. Because Tua was never all that good to begin with.

Devastating punching power only gets you so far.

Such a shame about David Tua. He is certainly up there in the conversation with the best never. Great workmate, huge power, phenomenal left hook and a fantastic chin.

He probably would have achieved much more if it wasn't for Kevin Barry and all the financial shenanigans that derailed his career and ended up in court. He certainly would have had much more in his pockets. Very sad story and unfortunately it is all too common in boxing.

            I would say so.

And Razor Ruddock also but the brutal Tyson fights probably ruined him. He was a monster and just happened to catch a prime Tyson. Good fights

During the 4 belt era, I think it’s possibly Andrew Golota. He had all the tools but was just a complete nutcase who lacked heart.

All time- I’d say Norton. He was awarded the HW title but he never officially won a title fight. If you can’t have Norton, Earnie Shavers would be my pick.

Some of the historians on here may have guys going back further who could or should have became champion, Sam Langford for example was never allowed to fight for “the world title”.

                    Ike Beabuchi that beat Tua.

                    Andrew Golota.
