Your right, Canelo has to fight Dirrell instead of BJS because of the lack of a live gate.

Let’s ignore the fact that we never brought that up as an argument against Canelo-GGG 3 when we wanted to criticize GGG for fighting Szeremeta and move on.

so now canelo needs to shift gears because he might not have an audience and his future opponent has already chosen a safety first fight and they are crying "hypocrite" and "double standard" lol

Canelo vs ggg 3 was never going to be held without a crowd

Which is why it’s insane that we had multiple 100+ comment threads criticizing GGG.

But now that Canelo is fighting a lesser opponent, we all accept that big fights won’t happen without a crowd.

        I wonder why?

Oh yeah, everyone on this board hates GGG and loves Canelo.

            be real though

when people came at golovkin for fighting vanes the golovkin fans defended it by saying it was short notice....that they had a budget and that hbo wasnt going to pay for a bigger name when they didnt need to......and that was pre pandemic.....there were better fights there for golovkin but he wanted a light touch on cheap money so he could take home more of the money from the fight.....and thats fine

just recognize that canelo is in a similar situation now that is also different in that he may not have a paying audience.....its ok....

as far as szermeta...people are just tired of seeing golovkin in with bums....plain and simple......wade, rolls, brook(brook is no bum but that was never going to be competitive), monroe, stevens.......the 3x hes stepped up his fights have been so close they could have easily gone either way....his resume still lacks.......canelos resume stands up and stretches from floyd at 152 to kovalev at 175....with some quality fighters in between..........thats why canelo gets passes and golovkin gets questioned....golovkin wasted prime years chasing canelo.....and hes near the end....canelo is still only 29 and can continue adding to an already impressive resume/legacy....

i already replied to you and basically said what im about to say again...so im repeating myself...but i want to emphasize a point

canelo is 29 and already has a better resume than golovkin......if canelo continues and doesnt retire early he can add to an already very good legacy......floyd at 152 on through to kovalev at 175...and good fighters in between of course with some light touches like anyone else.....

people are tired of golovkin fighting bums(yes i know how some feel about the term...i use it loosely...i dont think those guys are bums but relative to A level fighters alot of them are)....im sorry...they just are.....theres way too many of them on a 38 year olds resume.....hes fought 3 decent guys in a total of 4 fights....4 tough fights in his entire career and all 4 of them could basically go either way.....and his career is basically over....

thats why golovkin gets grief....plain and simple

GGG wanted to take an easy interim fight to pay for a training camp Canelo screwed up.

I have no problem with that and no one should.

I have no problem with Canelo fighting Dirrell right now, no one should.

Szeremeta is undefeated and the highest ranked middleweight in the IBF rankings. He’s not a bum.

Rolls was a comeback fight from a loss and the first fight in a huge contract with DAZN. No one should have a problem with that. Canelo fought Fielding in his first fight after GGG after all.

Brook was an undefeated welterweight champion who was considered to be a borderline top 10 p4p fighter. GGG had a huge size advantage but isn’t it a stretch to criticize him for beating an undefeated welterweight champion. Those guys have moved up and won middleweight titles in the past. It wasn’t competitive because Golovkin is good. Brook definitely shouldn’t be on that list.

Dominic Wade was an undefeated mandatory challenger.

So you’re complaining about two fights. I can complain about two Canelo fights too.

It’s hilarious that you’re complaining about how close it is every time GGG steps up. Canelo has had five fights that could have gone the other way.

GGG’s resume doesn’t lack. He tied the record for most consecutive title defenses of all time. He’s 40-1. He’s a two time middleweight champion. He’s been a top 10 p4p fighter for years. His best win is Canelo Alvarez’s second best win. He is Canelo Alvarez’s best win and Alaverez is considered by many to be number one p4p.

Alvarez clearly has a great resume too. Duh. But you acknowledged that you don’t give an ATG in Golovkin a pass but you’ll give another ATG in Canelo a pass.

                So you treat them differently.

I’m just asking for both of them to be recognized and treated the same.
