I thought that no other Middleweight at least in the modern era has 21 successful title defenses if he wins his next fight consecutive or non consecutuve. So that is possibly a record. Jones , Monzon, Hagler and Hopkins didn't unless you know of someone else I didn't mention.

He was a Top 10 fighter at a higher weight class and, at the time, a champion.

GGG lost to Canelo, lost to Dervenchenko, and arguably lost to Jacobs. His best wins are against literal nobodies like Vanes, Rolls, and whatever other bums were available.

yall are really trying to make up a record for this man and i dont know why...lol
I'm not trying to make up a record. I really don't care. I was discussing whether Golovkin would move to 168 in the future and why or why not. If he wins his next fight he will have 21 wins. For consecutive wins he's tied with Hopkins. If he reaches 21 he will still be tied with Hopkins and have one overall win over him. Maybe that is why he is sticking to Middleweight before he moves up. Do you know if any Middleweight fighter that has 21 successful title defenses. If you do lets us know.

The record is for "CONSECUTIVE" title defenses

and we are already counting"regular title defenses" for GGG how much further do we really need to stretch it?

Golivkin already has that record. You are overreacting here.

His trainer thinks it's a good idea and Golovkin has his name in the record books if he wins his next fight at Middle. He may decide to leave the division. Oh yeah I forgot.. You're an idiot...

No one is stetching anything. I don't make up the boxing guidelines. Ask the powers that be why they have Golovkin and Hopkins at 20. 20 consecutive wins didn't magically make Hopkins a Hall of Famer it's was his hard work, dedication and longevity.

I think you didn't watched those fights or don't know how to score a fight.

I could give you the Devy fight.

The record is 20 wins which he shares with Hopkins. If he wins his next fight he will have 21 successful title defenses. I don't know of any Middleweight champion that has 21 successful title defenses. Maybe there is and I'm not aware of it. Neither do you off the top of your head because you would have mentioned it by now.
