By Cliff Rold - With so many belts around, the idea of champions can get watered down and not just by the WBA. It's almost certainly one of the reasons pound-for-pound ratings gained so much more heft in the marketplace in the last two generations. It was a way to cut through the chaff. That doesn't mean there still aren't men who exemplify what a champion should...

    Excellent Summary.

A like how this article help remind someone the current landscape of the Champions. Looking forward for the next after some of those Champions fight each other first.

Flyweight has aroused my interest with the return of Moruti Mthalane as the 2x IBF champ and the newly crowned WBC flyweight champion, the young buzz-saw Julio Cesar Martinez. Grandad Mthalane, has shown that hes still got it in his last IBF 112 title defense against the former lineal flyweight champion Akira Yaegashi IN Japan.

Julio Cesar Martinez, also showed to be a road warrior taking it to Charlie Edwards in the UK and 're-captured' the WBC 112 title against the former champ of said belt, Cristofer Rosales, in a thriller. Both Mthalane and Martinez seem to be determined to not be denied getting their hands on the belts they coveted. I wonder, can Moruti Mthalane take another pup to school like Mthalane did with Tete and Casimero? or would Julio Cesar Martinez do Moruti Mthalane like Nonito Donaire in 2008? This fight is a great win for both champions, even for Julio, despite Mthalane's age.

Flyweight always sees contenders coming up from mini-weight through jr. flyweight : mini/straw-weight unfortunately is considered unfruitful but for all the wrong reasons : there is no one coming up ( obviously ) and hardly ever do you see a gifted talent from 108 or even 112 dropping back down to 105 to challenge the champs ; there is no sense in going back unless you are a natural career mini-weight that found out the hard way. The bigger purses and legacy are north-bound. So CP Freshmart and TBE need to put their freindship aside and get it on, the miniweight division needs it. These two are like the Klitschko brothers of 105.

You mean they were trolling me?! The Five Star Thai Chicken, Thai Best Ever, was a joke? Damn, they got me.

If Menayothin would unify then his record would be taken a little more seriously.
