If Ruiz retires from boxing, I can see him ballooning up to a level where they'll need a forklift to deliver his obese ass to the hospital.

I can't see Ruiz becoming relevant again. He has the skills but I think he lacks the discipline. I think he peaked when he snuck up on AJ. That won't happen again. Ruiz had his Buster Douglas moment

Ruiz gave fata$$es world wide some hope. No that the fatsos have hope, Ruiz can go away and stay away.

To have the hunger and dedication that he had even with the money he was making is amazing.

I really hope Ruiz been around another mexican trainer doesn't keep him down, like Atlas said Ruiz needs to be locked in a gym and monitored with a chef. Train, eat right, sleep right. Do that for 4 - 6 months and the weight would drop, keep him active and not him fighting one every year like most PBC HW who they aren't pushing as much.
Ruiz skill wise is the best heavyweight out there. And the 250 weight for him is not an issue as long as he is in the 250's. Any lighter, not good. Any heavier not good. the 247 to 255 range is good for him. if he does that watch out. He can beat anyone.
