Compare the punching power of AJ and Deontay Wilder

Both powerful guys but they seem powerful in different ways how would you compare them in that aspect?

Wilder has to swing as hard as he could and at times not clean shots ,many land behind the head and there’s wrist and forearm action too.

A.J is heavier handed and doesn’t rely on knockouts to win so he isn’t purposely going for knockouts .

If both fought the same guys ,A.J winds up with more knockout percentage no matter what the rounds it is .

A.J is better technically, more accurate, and counter punches ,these are huge advantages that can contribute to how hard you hit . Wilder is faster but not by much. I think it’s clear A.J can knockout more guys of quality, his resume proves it so you also have to see who both stopped in real knockouts ,not guys that get up.

Wilder’s power is grossly overrated. KO power is based on quality of opponent. Wilder also throws his power shots with whole might hence he’s always off-balance when he throws. But Josh throws with more precision without excessively committing himself.

Josh has more power in all his power punches (hooks, right hand and uppercut) than Wilder will ever dream of.

Both have power. Joshua is probably heavier handed and has more in his follow up punches than Wilder. He loads up but not nearly as much as Wilder.

Wilder knows how to puts everything into his 1-2 which is what makes it a fight ending shot. That single shot is probably on par with Joshua throwing a full on haymaker.

whatever u say about wilder that right hand he throws is super and hes a light guy for the division too, impressive

i know he put on a some weight for the last fury fight, maybe he should take it off again, i would be asking that question if i was him

I don't think wilder can take Josh power. Wilder will feel like a sparring partner.like he is used to.

Wilder definitely hits harder. Ask Dominic Brezeale.

Both big punchers but Wilder clearly has more one punch power.

Every fighter who has fought or sparred with both has said Wilder is more powerful by a large margin.

From Richard Tower to David Haye to Dominic Breazele.

This is actually fake news if you read the Gavin interview besides this A.J has defeated same guys faster ,both share Breazeale who got up from Wilder . David Haye has never sparred A.J from what I understand and Breazeale comments have been made up. A.J has the advantages of being heavier with speed, Wilder has speed and slightly more length at the end of shots could sting more ,that’s about it .
