  • Comments Thread For: Nonito Donaire Excited By Thought Of Rigondeaux Rematch At 118 Pounds

Aligning himself with Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions might mean Nonito Donaire can attempt to avenge one of his most disappointing defeats. Donaire and Guillermo Rigondeaux both have moved down to the bantamweight division and are affiliated with PBC. If Donaire can win his next fight, they each would own world titles at 118 pounds, too.

How can anybody not like Nonito?

That said, I think Inoue will have an easier time if they fight again, I think he learned a lot in that fight that will make him a better fighter

For the record, when did Nonito sign with Haymon?

I don't get why Donaire gets so much hate at times.

He fights the big names and wants to go at a fighter again that his style will give him a lot of trouble again.

At that weight class it is surprising to see these tow fighters still fighting at such a high level

One of the first guys to sign up for year round random VADA testing so deserves extra kudos imo.

Big fan of Donaire, maybe he can beat Rigo this time but damn he got whooped last time.

I think Donaire will drill Rigo this time. He'll study the game plan of Loma about Rigo and focus on the jab and right hand instead of the looping left hooks and drills Rigo.

nonito been past it for a while now. Rigo is almost 40 though but he still got more left and is only 2 years older.

Nonito better press hard for it though if he wants his shot because I think Inoue will beat Rigo.

Of course rigo coming off a loss would then be forced to take a lesser opponent, like a beltless aging Donaire.
