The best guy in boxing, beats everybody, can fight whoever he wants. he can fighter Wilder next, than Joshua, than Mike Tyson, if he wants to. Why bother about UFC?

Why would Tyson want to fight MMA when Dana would pay him one tenth of what he gets in boxing? McGregor earned more in one boxing match than in his entire UFC career didn’t he?

Yeah there is not really a point money wise although Mcgregor somehow made 30 million fighting Donald Cerrone who had been knocked out back to back before fighting him making it 3 in a row when he faced Conor. Funny how usually UFC cuts people for those type of performances but they keep Cerrone around who obviously is just fighting for paychecks these days and keep recycling him on main cards.

The only upside I can see from this is if a big time championship boxer would be able to transition to UFC or Bellator and hold a title in both sports that would be something new and I'm sure their star power would skyrocket even more.

Also mma is weird in pay alot of it is undisclosed like we know mcgregor was getting 10-15x that listen 3m purses similar for everyone jon jones makes way more than 500k israel the same anderson silva the same gsp the same and so on for bigger names i remember in 08ish gsp was saying they made 4-6m a fight yet there purse was always 250-500k jones said similar n then when all the mcgregor info came out we knew it was true. Dana pay jon jones 1.5m purse and ngnauu 1m so they can make 10-15x that after . that way they fight jon jones can shut up and make 15-20m for the fight

Ok. But why does Dana announce purses so low? Can’t see the advantage unless he’s using those figures to stiff all the fighters he underpays. Also where does the rest of the undisclosed cash come from? PPV / ticket sales I guess...

This would be believable if not for the IRS and little pieces of paper called contracts. Unless the UFC is paying them under the table which I highly doubt because again IRS, UFC fighters are making what their contract/purse is listed as. Why else do you think they give out bonuses?

Boxing still has the highest paid fighters between them and MMA. UFC and the likes is highly popular with the younger crowds but most people can relate to boxing and its history and it is easier to understand.
