Or maybe even Benavidez.
For me as a Canelo fan the fights I really want are Beterbiev and Smith. For Canelo to recapture a Ring strap at 168 and Beterbiev because that’s just gonna out Canelo to the ultimate test.
But those aren’t going to happen soon.
And to be honest I don’t trust Eddie Hearn. He doesn’t have to do any favors for GBP. Arum was right, Hearn is becoming Haymon. I truly believe Hearn and MTK just stalling and wasting time with Canelo, and they’re all just using the DAZN-purse card and fault to price themselves out. Even Hearn insinuates it, and he can easily advise his fighters to say, “we’ll it’s not my fault DAZN overpaid, but if you want me in with Canelo I need to be well compensated.”
Ok we get all that.
The best thing now is for Haymon to push his brand and submit to anything GBP offers. It will help PBC and then let’s call our bets when the fight is madez. Haymon should take the risk as he did with Ruiz Jr.
