Comments Thread For: Dana White: Mike Tyson Has Something Lined Up, Something Big

UFC President Dana White, who is close friends with former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, expects the boxer to enter the ring for something big. Tyson, 53-years-old and inactive since 2005, has discussed the scenario of coming back to the ring to take part in a few exhibition fights to raise money for charity.

    Bkb

BKB would make it worth watching. Bare hands, plus two minute rounds wouldn't hurt. I wish Tyson the best!

Evander Holyfield, Shannon Briggs, Tito Ortiz, Ken Shamrock and Sonny Bill Williams are among the numerous fighters who are eager to get Tyson in the ring.
One of these names is not like the others, one of these names just doesn't belong...

Why do you think Floyd has been training? Believe it or not but it will be Mike Tyson vs Floyd Mayweather. You heard it hear first! Mike is clearly under 200 pounds now so it will be at a catch weight... YOU WELCOME!!!

I'm not fully convinced of the words used " I'm going to get in there and mix it up". That's not good reading for Mike if it's what it looks like it means..

A few exhibition bouts, milk the popularity of boxing starved fans and get out should be the plan..

Anything else could end in tears..

Long as it's an exhibition Mike will be fine. Anything else and it'll be the end of his story in the books. Kevin Mcbride put the beats on him, I'll never forget. The hype won't persuade me to forget that. An old Mike who hasn't fought in over a decade definitely isn't a threat at any elite level in any combat sport. He better go after old men in bars like Mctapps did.

Why has no one addressed the fact that Mike Tyson’s style doesn’t lend itself well to an exhibition match? It’s built around damaging people from the opening seconds. I can’t imagine him popping jabs and stepping backwards.

No self respecting boxing fan gives a damn what Dana White thinks. He is a lying scumbag who has only changed his tune now because he knows Mike is going ahead with it and he's not getting anything out of it. He was hoping to get some cash out of Mike. I'm glad that's not happening. He is already ripping off his own fighters, no need for him to leech off an iconic former boxing champion.
