Is Tyson Fury another hype job like Wilder?

I dunno but I’ll never see Fury as a great boxer.

I still remember the bummy Fury with big mouth that I’d rather watch paint dry than watch fight. The Fury that got battered by McDermott, knocked down heavily by Cunningham and Pajkic, and the Fury that struggled against Chisora in the first fight.

So what changed? The transformation is just too sudden for me to buy whatever the gypo is selling (gypos can’t be trusted). This guy joined Peter Fury and boom, he became a world beater. Progress in boxing doesn’t happen like that and there’s something amiss (I just can’t lay a finger on it).

His performance against an unmotivated Wlad still doesn’t impress me and beating Wilder who’s a bum isn’t a big deal. He has to beat Josh in style to convince me (I don’t even see that happening). And then beat Dillian Whyte (I don’t rate Whyte that highly as well because hie got lucky against Parker and Chisora 1).

I have watched that fight like 5 times (it’s a chore to watch) and I’m still not impressed.

Wlad just acted like he was scared to throw a punch against a guy who isn’t a puncher. And Fury didn’t do much as well apart from making more effort than Wlad.

Why didn’t he expose the flaws in McDermott and Otto Wallin?

Something just doesn’t add and Fury has been a pro for almost 13 yrs and he still can’t throw proper combinations. He’s always rabbit punching when throwing combinations.

He’s a good mover but everything else is overrated IMO.

He needs to beat two decent contenders back to back for me to rate him - not Seferi, Wallin and Schwarz.

The guy hasn’t fought anyone in the top 10 apart from that bum, Wilder.

his combo punching is not the best you are right there, possibly fury just gets up for the bigger fight better, he is an up and down guy mentally, like a yo yo, he doesnt deliver a consistent performance fight in fight out like others can, he hasnt even defended a belt has he

Fury is already the greatest HW of this era and he's nowhere near finished. He'll smash the fragile AJ to little bits.

He's also the most charismatic HW since Ali.
