Comments Thread For: Fury Co-Trainer Andy Lee: Wilder Needs To Be More Aggressive In Trilogy

Deontay Wilder will need to revamp his gameplan if he wants to seek revenge and recapture the WBC heavyweight crown he dropped to Tyson Fury in February. Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs) is currently recovering from a biceps injury sustained in the loss that later required surgery, and he's admitted to keeping his core team intact with trainers Jay Deas and Mark Breland. Yet, he's seeking outside counsel from the likes of George Foreman so that he can beat Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs).

Wilder used be more active, but during this 2nd Ortiz fight he developed bad habit of not throwing enough jabs. Continued the same in da Fury fight

Wilder's only chance is to go in swinging and pray that something lands early.

It won't work, but it's his best shot, he's like a lamb to the slaughter otherwise

That way Fury can KO that bum sooner. Wilder like his fans is mentally broken from that fight. He turned on his own corner and "the snakes" in his camp. He did everything but blame himself. Given his track record hopefully his lady doesn't piss him off any time soon.

Yes, it's his only shot but I think it makes him more vulnerable too.

Everyone talks about the knockdown in the third round but I think Fury won it in the second. Hit Wilder with a flush right on the jaw and Wilder's reaction was to swing for the fences.

Fury saw every punch coming and made him look silly, countering every time.

I'd make Wilder a massive outsider this time around. The more desperate he is, the more he'll suit Fury. He'd be better off buying a lottery ticket.

Well the real Wilder fans would call out his mistakes and shortcomings unless they are not real fans and wanna see Wilder battered again

It started after duhapaus. He adopted a lazy style against Molina and it has persisted since. When he fought stiverne and duhapaus he was more active. His movement and boxing against stiverne was beautiful. He hasn’t fought like that since

Wilder will never again see such a bad version of Fury like it was in first fight, don`t forget that.

With what seems like lead in his boots he can't move quick enough to be aggressive..

Fury will be all over him like a rash and using every trick in the book and leaning his huge frame all over him. Wilder needs a brain to counter that which unfortunately he doesn't.. Wilders best chances is if Fury changes tactics from his last fight..
