The best way to evaluate “cheating” is time of use.
If you want to say “let everyone do it” we need to know the context and differences. synthetic hormones, anabolic steroids were originally invented to TREAT MEDICAL conditions for recovery. The science was later hijacked by practitioners in mainstream sports and then later practiced in the underground of sports when regulations followed.
American Football had always had the most prolific occurrences because it’s always been a huge money sport and you needed your star and lineup players prepped since multi millions were on the line per game. I’d say the NFL would use every type of PED from the offseason, camps, to fight night like Toradol...
Injuries exist in every sport imaginable including archery...and yes Archers get tested and have been caught! assume an archer had a condition and he needed something for pain and recovery before or during the event. Some athletes just risk it and hope they don’t get caught, and after the event they get sanctioned because of a failed test. This happens all the time in Olympic sport. Athletes are on stuff during their events, even though they’ve been enrolled for random testing early on, again they risk it!
This is why I always say we need to evaluate “cheating” during time of use and intentional use for recovery. There are scenarios being jacked on something going into an event vs PED use in the off season for recovery or also being juiced to the gills for other things when not even scheduled to compete. Then you also have to apply what PED was used and the amount. Being “jacked” aren’t nano traces. And being jacked during an event is also another thing.
TUE’s are specifically made for justifiable medical conditions that exempt the theory for intentional use and it’s reviewed. Take PAC vs Floyd. Whatever the reasons where for Toradol or the IV should seem upon for time of use.... a day before or going into the ring wanting a shot of Toradol.
Yet pacphags and Floyd diehards cry about nanotraces 78 days away when the athlete knows he is still being tested let alone enrolled.
78 days away vs a day of the event. You can’t make this stuff up.Comment

The OP is clueless. Assume PEDS are allowed and guys are able to be juiced to the gills during an event like Vinny Paz going in to fight Roy... What if one of them still gets his ass beat by another athlete whom openly only chooses to be 10% juiced while the other (who got his ass kicked) is openly and always 90% juiced during a fight. Nonsensical scenarios and fans wouldn’t gravitate to the sport.
If you pass tests during the week of The fight, a day before, and your post fight blood and Urine, then isn’t that enough to call it fair?
“Cheaters” would always pop during random visits. advanced testing is supposed to find trace amounts in the way methods weren’t done before.Comment
