That's kind of sad. No one today can capture people's imagination like he used to.

Tyson is 1 of the 2 biggest stars in boxing history alongside Muhammad Ali.

Nobody has come close the Tyson in the last 30+ years. Tysonmania was huge!

Three biggest stars in Boxing history are Ali, Tyson, Floyd. All of them became larger than the sport. It's not sad when you consider the era Mike came up in Boxing was still a huge sport in America- NFL/NBA was NOT what it is today. Add that to the HUGE nostalgia boost of hype Mike gets none stop PLUS the revised telling of his career where people pretend he never loss a fight and dominated the division until retirement. And you have what I call the greatest marketed fighter in Boxing history.
He'll always overshadow the heavyweight division. To no fault of current heavies and complete fault of the masses.

Floyd is the same thing to the welter division, hell people want Floyd to come back and fight middleweights. Strange because those same people say Floyd is trash. Yet they want an old retired Floyd to come back and fight MWs. '

While you type pure agenda driven BS, AJ will certainly be loved in the UK the way Mike is loved in the states. He's in that same lane. Your one mistake was that brits love Tyson more than aj as well.

Mike Tyson is from the pre-internet era, man.

It's like saying it's a shame Fleetwood Mac is bigger than any recent band. Of course they are; they're from an era where there were a fraction of the options to choose from for entertainment... not just sports but across the board.

The Mike Tyson name brand is as famous as Michael Jordan and Roger Federer and Tiger Woods and Serena Williams. Tyson needs a better agent.
