No one's really pushing Haney as a 'champion' are they? I think he's widely recognised as a fine talent, but most folk are kinda waiting for him to do something before talking about him as a real champ. Loma's still kinda universally recognised as the WBCs 135 guy.
But I ain't sure what you mean by your final comment there, inasmuch as you can find any sense at all in this franchise title bullchit, Haney won his 'regular' title the right way by fighting the WBCs next highest ranked contender. Haney vs Abdullaev was #1 vs #2 per WBC.
Ain't Haney's fault that the WBC pulled that ish anyway, and I can't really see why you'd think Ryan's somehow more admirable cos it didn't happen to him... you think he wouldn't have been all over that 'Champion' ish if he'd been WBC #1 ranker at the time?
Two fine young talents, Devin and Ryan, but Pandas is right here, Devin's obviously a little further along the road right now, regardless of what happens in the future. Can't even see why that'd seem like something controversial or worth arguing over.
