I was surprised too TBH, I'm about 5'11, 175 - 180 in training (more like 190 right now ) and consider myself pretty much **** average. and I ain't heard that the US population is any smaller that UK on average. Looked at about 3 different sources though and those were the numbers that came up so
That is age range 20 - 39 of course and I'm willing to bet the average 25 y.o is leaner, but I'd guess height doesn't change that much by the time you're 40 (I lost about a half inch between 35 and 47).
Wondering if the growing Hispanic population in the US is lowering the average height any? Fastest growing and youngest demographic I believe and maybe shorter than average?
to the bold; **** I didn't know I'd get even shorter
I think so, I mean it's a stat and I'm just some ******* from southeast America. I've never lived west or north, but, in my experience I am a bit on the taller end of hispanics as a whole but also pretty average for second gen hispanics. Basically, we all got short ass grandpas, uncles, dads, etc. we're a little taller than. Which is an odd one because not all of us are mixed. Plenty of pure PRs born in FL taller than their island born parents. Dunno why. Anyway, in a group of mixed generations I'd be with the taller half but in a group of my peers I'm just regular sized. Then when I'm around white folk or black folk I'm pretty much always along the shorter half of the group. Which has me to believe we are ****ing up their statistics.
I don't honestly meet a ton of 5'9" flirting with two hundo. Little bigger or a little smaller seems right to me. I reckon we're just influxing the stats presently. Not enough to take them, not so little we have no effect, just a bit of ****ery to make the "average" American seem even fatter by bringing down their height.
Don't get me wrong..We are fat ****s in the US, but, that seems a bit short and extra fat......maybe them mugs live in Kansas or some such though I dunno.
