Wow: 7 of Floyd's 14 recent "wins" had a serious asterisk to them

Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Arturo Gatti, June 25, 2005: Late in the first round, Mayweather moved in and put his forearm on the back of Gatti’s neck as Gatti ducked, initiating a clinch. Referee Earl Morton clearly commanded, “Stop punching.” Mayweather ignored him and landed a right and a hard left as Gatti straightened up.
When Gatti turned to the referee to complain, Mayweather stepped in and decked Arturo with a left hook. Gatti wasn’t even looking at Mayweather at the time. The referee ruled it a legitimate knockdown.
Mayweather stopped Gatti in six but the damage was done in the 1st rd.
Clearly Earl Morton was having a bad day but no excuses for JR.
Once a cheap shot artist always a cheap shot artist.
My whole point is , Floyd really didn’t need to win the fight that way

in Feb of 2011 he battered Mexico’s Antonio DeMarco (23-2-1, 17 KOs) to win a ninth-round TKO. After the fight he was mentioned as a potential future opponent for Manny “Pac-Man.”
Edwin Valero committed suicide in a jail cell in Venezuela in April of 2011 (less than 2 month later for killing his wife).
Valero was 27-0, 27 KOs.
Diego Corrales was in prison 2001-2003 Between 2003-2006 had some epic wars with Joel Casamayor and José Luis Castillo not sure where Pac's fits in but by 2007 was dead.
As for Juan Diaz the baby bull I thought he retired to go through Law School?
There's no editorial comment included.
No judgment of if there was a good or bad reason for Manny not fighting the champions he didn't fight.
But, look at the reactions of his fanboys.
Look how triggered they are by simple facts.Last edited by koolkc107; 05-25-2020, 10:00 AM.

I feel privileged to have watched Fana lose 12-0 to Flanagan in the flesh, now I know why Pacquiao avoided him to fight cans like Marquez, Barrera and Morales at 130.
Mzonke Fana? Didn't he lose like 13-14 times? Marco Antonio Barrera TKO'ed him in the 2nd round of a championship fight?

Floyd does what he needs to to win, no matter how it looks.
Pac wouldn't hit a guy with his hands down, no matter if it was legit or not.
Pac's a good sport and that's why some fans root for him. Floyd? Well that's another story.
