Is it hard for most boxers to get signed by a good promoter when turning professional?

Not if you got unmistakable talent and a good amateur pedigree.

it depends how good you were as an amateur and where you are from. a guy like tank wasnt a stand out amateur but still got picked up by a major promoter because they knew they could promote him. a guy like ggg was a much better amateur but some bum ass promoter signed him because he was some random guy from kazahkstan. then idiots go on boxingscene and say "how come he didnt turn pro until 25!" as if turning pro at 18 was an option. hey who wants to sign unknown guy from kazakhstan with no accomplishments?

An Aussie that seen the talent signed one instantly in Kostya Tszyu.

You just got to be good at it and you will be seen, what choices you make will decide your path, you gotta be good to get a start and then be smart enough to own it.

yeah after tsyzu was a great amateur. just like ggg. both those guys turned pro later because they needed some amateur pedigree to get noticed. wasnt that my point?

Not if you have great talent OR marketability.
